Panathinaikos BC, on yet another occasion, regrets to file a complaint towards all competent and responsible Authority about the systematic and continuous misinformation of the public opinion from the Olympiacos BC part.
The new method based on which they try –we hope without bearing any result- to manipulate the Press and in proxy the fan crowd, clearly aiming to fire up the atmosphere in view of tomorrow’s encounter at Faliro, is in reference to a sound clip material distribution from the referees’ draw, through an Olympiacos BC employee, sent by group mail and received by 40 journalists, titled: “Dimitris Giannakopoulos threats”!
People have a judgment of their own and can perceive that the party to pose threats is Olympiacos, the team representative, Girogos Skindilias to attack the Panathinaikos BC president with the phrase: “You should have already been restrained”.
The Panathinaikos BC president, not once doubted all he stated during the meeting but no one can comprehend how might this statements be viewed us “threats”, propaganda the Olympiacos party is trying to pass on to the people.
.On the contrary, the Panathinaikos BC urged the Olympiacos party to stop any form of personal attacks as it had happened in the Press Conference to follow the Greek Cup (where the Olympiacos team failed to attend the awards ceremony scorning the institution) but also through the recent announcement ending with the phrase “restrain him”!
Panathinaikos keeps on going down the natural root. Rivalry remains in bounds, as exactly is required by the greatest club of the country’s history.
Their goal is obvious and we have already pointed it out. We call upon all responsible Authority however, to take action in reference to the continuous leaking of false info aiming to inspire fanatic behavior to the masses, fire up the atmosphere and cover up their competitive weaknesses.
Finally, we call the official Olympiacos team to clear up its act and to stop getting mixed up in communicational games and to finally steer its attention on uses of essence, issues on which it has systematically avoid to comment on.
It is high time they allowed the athletes to play basketball.
