Dimitris Giannakopoulos, Panathinaikos BC President, stated: “First of all Argyris, the technical staff and the players deserve to be congratulated on conquering the easiest championship in our contemporary history. Congratulations also to all who supported our plan with their very soul, despite the adversities we came across! Congratulations to the fans that were by our side and offered their sole. After this season’s double, I state that “good’s” worst enemy is “even better” for our great Panathinaikos. To conclude, and after quite a long and inexcusable wait, I expect the laws to be enforced concerning the disgraceful scenes we saw and the hell the members of our delegation were put through. The officials must follow through on any procedures that are provided for a game interruption, something they had not done back in 2010. We are ready to celebrate along with our fans, proud to be PANATHINAIKOS”.
