Kostas Tsartsaris announced his decision to retire from basketball. The Panathinaikos BC president, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, in recognition of his offer from 2002 up to date towards the team and of his unique character, stressed: “The Panathinaikos family would like to thank Kostas Tsartsaris for his, above all invaluable and multidimensional offer through so many years. The Panathinaikos gate remains always open for a man with ethos and the level of Kostas Tsartsaris. We would have really wanted him to continue with us, but, we thoroughly respect his decision no matter how upsetting it might be. We perceive however, that Kostas leaves in a most deserving way: Greek Champion and Cup Holder and great protagonist in all Panathinaikos’ successes”.
