After a long voyage, one to last overall 12 hours, the Panathinaikos delegation arrived in China and more specifically in the city of Guangzhou where it will be staying until Saturday, September 14.
Televeision crews as also photographers were present at the Guangzhou airport to capture the first moments of the members of Panathinaikos’ delegation in China while Ping Shang was greeted by his mother Ma Min.
Anyhow, we should not forget that Panathinaikos is the first European basketball team to be playing a friendly game in China, while also participating in a series of events in the most populated country on the planet. Next the delegation boarded a bus heading to Foshan (an hour’s drive from Guangzhou).
For the first day the schedule had rest granted the time difference with China (it is 5 hours ahead of Greece), while on Friday, September 13 the Panathinaikos players’ itinerary is quite… hectic!
At 11.00 (LT) a Press Conference has been scheduled at the hotel well the delegation is staying, in the presence of officials of the city. An hour later the players will be committing its first training session on Chinese soil, while at 19.30 (LT) the friendly game versus Foshan LongLions will be committed.
