“To us it was a special game, since it is out of the European standards we are use to. We are in preseason and the main thing for us was to not have an injury list and mishaps… So we are happy we had no unfortunate incidents. Foshan plays a different kind of basketball to the one we are use to. It uses the perimeter, running an no inside game at all. They brought out energy and speed”.
As it was only natural, Pedoulakis was asked about Ping Shang: “In the beginning he was trying to learn, he is improving all the time and the good thing is that he has the will to learn and it trying his best. I believe that time will be working in his favor”.
James Gist stressed: “We are during preseason and overall to us this game and the trip to China was a good experience; a different experience to be precise. It is important now to prepare as best as possible and this game help towards this direction”.
Ping Shang then stated:”I am happy to be returning to China. I have been working hard in Panathinaikos and I am willing to work even harder in order to make it. I am gradually adjusting to the European basketball method, I am still learning but the main thing is that I have the will to work”.
