Argyris Pedoulakis had something other the game to comment getting to the press conference of the game. He has something to say about Philippos Syrigos...
"I would like to begin by saying to a friend "kalo taxidi" (farewell). I believe that he wouldn't like big words, so I will just say this farewell to him".
Speaking about the game, Panathinaikos' coach stated: "It was a really bad game for both teams. We had no rhythm, we are behind in many things. Some of the players don't even know the plays, they don't know where do they have to go on the floor, we are lacking in physical condition, something that is expected at this point because of the injuries. We will find our rhythm through practices and games. We didn't play well, so what we can change is that we have to get better".
Asked about the big number of the offensive rebounds, Pedoulakis replied: "There were a lot of missed shots. It's something that offers you the possibility to go for the offensive rebound. These two numbers depend a lot on each other. For us a big problem was that our tall guys weren't ready regarding their physical condition we all the problems they had, in order to jump for a second or even a third time, or to go for a second straight attack".
Loukas Mavrokefalidis added: "It was the first game of the season and I believe that exactly because of this, everything was a little bit iconic. We only got back together just a few days ago and we have to work all together more, in order to perform better on the floor in the games to come. Olympiacos played better. We had some problems".
