"The first one is easy: The 2007 Euroleague final. I think that nothing compares to that final. Because it was the first Euroleague title for me, it was a title we all wanted so much, because it was in our home, because of the fans... For many reason it's the game I remember the most. Which game I would like to forget? Literally none, because you learn from each game you play. Even when you lose, there is something for you there to gain. I would like though things to be different in 2005 semifinal, or the 2012 semifinal especially when I think of the way the game started and how it ended... About my first game.. (he laughs)... Mike Batiste's anniversary
There is no other foreigner to connect his name with Panathinaikos and Greece. Mike Batiste came here in 2003 to stay. After being one year away, playing against Fenerbahce/Ulker, he returned. It was ten years ago, on the 6th of November 2003 when he made his debut in the team, playing against Zalgiris Kaunas. Panathinaikos was defeated (80-74), but Mike Batiste's presence didn't go unnoticed. He scored 20 points (6/9 2p, 2/4 3p, 2/2 1p), 5 rebounds και 5 steals in 34'45''. Since then has played 213 games in Euroleague and 180 of them with Panathinaikos.
