Argyris Pedoulakis focused on the importance of the rhythm in the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv, before flying to Israel for tomorrow's (14/11, 21.05) game for Euroleague Day 5.
Panathinaikos' coach stated before the departure: "Maccabi Tel Aviv is a team playing fast, often using small line ups. They try to control the rebounds, their tall guys doing a great job on that, so we have to be really careful on rebounding. They have Sofo, a player we know very well. They want to run the floor, to attack the basket fast and we have to control the rhythm. We had the chance to practice twice in our gym and from now on we stop talking about fatigue, or any other problems".
Roko Leni Ukic talked about a team which has great shooters and unpredictable, while he spoke about Panathinaikos too: "It will be a really difficult game. We lost last week in a tough way and maybe we shouldn't have lost. Either way we have to cover for that loss. It will be difficult to win there, because Maccabi is an unpredictable team, they have very good shooters and overall they are a very good team. I really believe though that we also have a very good team and for sure we are going to try to get the win. Yes, we are not 100% ready yet, we don't play the way we would like to play right now, but it's normal. It's still November. We want to play better, but we cannot put extra weight in our shoulders right now, because a lot of players are coming of injuries. We know better than anyone that we don't play the best basketball we can, but we all work hard and we are improving".
