Panathinaikos departs today from "Eleftherios Venizelos" airport, with Russia being the final destination and transit station Vienna. The "greens" face Lokomotiv Kuban on Friday (13/12) for Euroleague Day 9. The team will perform without the injured Jonas Maciulis and Nikos Pappas.
Argyris Pedoulakis stated before the departure: "We have to be serious throughout the game and we have to continue improving. Lokomotiv has a really talented line up in guards and it is a really strong team in the paint. So, we have to be really careful. We have some injuries, but we try not to think about it. We move on with the players we have on the roster for this game".
Mike Bramos added: "We know that we already are in Top16, but this doesn't change our goal, which is to win. We want to win. We have to match their energy on the floor, to play strong against a tough team. We have to prove to ourselves that we are improving. We try not to think about the injuries. We have the players we have on the given moment and we hope that we will be ok, we hope that we'll perform well and that we'll get the positive result".
