Panathinaikos BC wishes to keep alive the memory of a man who was identified with journalism, with the daily news, the comprehensive analysis of all the facts in order to transmit them, to the extent possible, to the future generations of journalists. For this reason, honoring the memory of one of the best journalists, Philippos Syrigos, offers a full scholarship in sports journalism in "Omiros".
Philippos Syrigos, who has left his indelible on Greek Journalism, had graduated from "Omiros" school of journalism. As a continuance to his amazing course in journalism, Panathinaikos BC decided to give the opportunity to students, who wish to pursue a career in this profession, while by the scholarship itself, the name of one of the best in the area, who left us prematurely, will remain alive.
All youngsters interesting on the scholarship will participate in a competition which begins on Monday 16/12/2013 and will be concluded on Sunday 19/1/2014. A panel of journalists will decide upon the winner. The name of the winner will be revealed on 31/1/2014.
