Zack Wright is the new addition to Panathinaikos roster. The guard from USA is expected to land to "Eleftherios Venizelos" at 14.00.
Wright stated excited with the prospect to play for Panathinaikos, while it was obvious that he knows many things about his new team: "I am really excited. The fact that I am now part of such a great team speaks for itself about how excited I am. At the same time I realize that it's a big opportunity for my career. I will try to help my team as much as I can and I am ready for this amazing adventure that opens up for me. I know a lot about Panathinaikos and I didn't have to play for Rethymno to find out about the Clover was always one of the top teams in Europe and dominates the Greek League for years. It's a huge team and a great organization. It's clear what my presence has to offer, as Panathinaikos has already a great team. I will do whatever my coach asks me to do and I will give whatever I can in order to achieve our goals. I can understand how important it is for me to play next to great guards such as Diamantidis or Ukic. I am sure I will learn a lot from them. What I experience is something amazing".
Who is he
Zack Wright was born on February 5th, 1985 at Austin, Texas and he is 1m88. He played college basketball at UALR (2003-06) and then to Central Missouri State (2006-07). He left USA to play in Europe in 2007. He played in Braunschweig (Germany, ProB), Chalons (2008-09, France), LeMans (2009-10, France), Limoges (2010-11, France), Rethymno (2011-12, Greece), Cibona Zagreb (since March 2012, Croatia), Spartak St Petersburg (2012-13, Russia), Bamberg (2013-14, Germany). He has celebrated the Croatian League in 2012 bearing the Cibona's jersey. He has the nationality of Bosnia Herzegovina too and he has played in Eurobasket 2013.
