Ataman: "A very important week is about to begin"

Ergin Ataman expressed his satisfaction with the performance of Panathinaikos AKTOR's young players in the victory over Lavrio DHI, while also emphasizing the significance of the upcoming two EuroLeague fixtures.

The Panathinaikos AKTOR head coach stated:

"First of all, congratulations to my team for completing the regular season undefeated. We are the only EuroLeague team that has won all its domestic league regular-season games. As for tonight’s game, I would say we managed to save some playing minutes. Of course, there is a clear difference in the two teams’ strength. I am pleased with the performance and quality of our young players, such as Samodurov. On one hand, we are the reigning champions, but on the other, we also want to develop one of the biggest projects in Greek basketball. Naturally, this game is now behind us. A very important week is about to begin, with two crucial games. We are dealing with multiple injuries, but we do not look for excuses. The games we have over the next five days are ones we must win."

On the injured players: "The recovery and preparation process for this crucial part of the regular season is the responsibility of the medical staff, not mine. My job is to focus on the players who are available on the court and ensure they fight. So, we will see how things unfold."

On Alexandros Samodurov: "He is ready to contribute quality minutes in the EuroLeague, especially in situations where we are struggling with injuries."
