Panathinaikos OPAP announces the extension of its partnership with Synergy Sports for Data Analytics and Automated Capture Technology to Aid Coaching and Player Development.
As one of the elite basketball clubs of Europe, Panathinaikos OPAP’s coaching and management teams are always looking for an edge in their ability to build strategies, recruit players, scout opponents and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of team practices.
It is with this in mind that the team has announced an extension and expansion of its partnership with Synergy Sports. The team has been successfully using Synergy’s coaching and data analytics services for a number of years, notably winning the past three championships in Greece. In total the club has won 39 league championships, 6 EuroLeague titles and 1 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
A crucial component of the expanded partnership is that Synergy Sports’ Automated Capture System will be installed into the legendary Olympic Indoor Hall. This will allow team practices to be effortlessly recorded and analyzed by the team’s coaching staff, with real time access to the video via iPads to allow for player interaction, and direct coaching instruction with video examples.
