Mike James scored 13 points over the final 6 minutes to lead AS Monaco to an 83-91 victory over Panathinaikos OPAP Athens at OAKA on Tuesday night. After the Greens rallied to take the lead in the fourth quarter, James and Paris Lee scored all the points in a game-changing 0-13 run.
The victory was Monaco’s fourth in a row on the road and lifted the team’s record to 11-12. Dwayne Bacon scored 10 of his 14 points in the second quarter for the winners, Lee finished with 12 points and 4 steals and Alpha Diallo netted 10. Nemanja Nedovic and Jeremy Evans scored 16 points apiece for Panathinaikos, Howard Sant-Roos added 15, Okaro White 12 and Daryl Macon Jr. returned from injury to score 10 for the Greens. The loss dropped Panathinaikos to 5-16 on the season.
