Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade honored its former head coach Dejan Radonjic before Thursday night’s game at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall and then he walked out a winner as his Panathinaikos Athens finished the game on a 4-11 run to record a 75-77 victory.
Marius Grigonis paced the Greens with 17 points in the win. Arturas Gudaitis scored 12 for the winners and Mateusz Ponitka added 10, including the go-ahead layup after a steal in the game’s final minute. Benjamin Bentil led all scorers with a career-high 18 points for Zvezda and Hassan Martin scored 12 in defeat.
