Alexandros Samodurov was born in Thessaloniki (20/04/2005). He is 2.10m tall and plays as a forward.

At the age of 10 he joined the model Academy of DEKA, with Nikos Xatzivrettas as its leader, from the first day of its operation. From an early age he began to show his talent even against older athletes. In the final phase of the National Youth Championship in 2019, at the age of 14, he even faced 16-year-old opponents, counting 4.3 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 6.3 rating in 12:10 minutes per game.

In the summer of 2021 in the National Youth Championship, he was named the leading scorer and MVP, counting 24.5 points (62.8% shooting, 63.9% two-pointers, 6.7% three-pointers), 16.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2 steals and 2.4 blocks with a 23.4 rating, averaging 31:13 minutes per game. In the Juniors National Championship, he was selected in the best five whilst against older opponents he counted 13.2 points (60% shots, 60% two-pointers, 31.2% three-pointers), 7.8 rebounds, 2 assists and 10.2 rating, averaging 26:25 minutes per game.

In the 2021-22 season his talent became apparent in the Rising Stars tournament organized by EOK with U18 teams. He was crowned the MVP of the tournament and led DEKA to the title with 25.9 points (75.7% shots, 66.7% two-pointers and 25.8% three-pointers), 13.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2 blocks with a 30.7 rating, playing 35 minutes on average per game.
